Quebec’s Energy Minister announced a new energy strategy , with legislation to be introduced before June, 2016. The strategy includes goals to reduce oil consumption by 40 per cent by 2030; eliminate the use of thermal coal; increase by 25% overall renewable energy output; and increase by 50% bioenergy production.
